IT TV
Over the years, Trasys was never really that much in the press for so many good as well as bad reasons. And yet... Trasys deserves a better coverage ! Last week, I met a few people from the specialised IT press. Our discussion centred around the evolution of Trasys. Without exaggerating, we have great stories to tell about successful and impactful projects that Trasys specialists perform for our customers. We match our “We get IT done” motto and what we stand for. During these press talks, we then focused on our win of ESP-DESIS II, a four years and 487 million € framework contract covering software development and consulting missions for the European Commission. Together with our partners (which are not the least), we won all four lots we tendered for. Combined, these four lots represent jobs for 1150 people annually. Fantastic win!
This led to discussing the job market and the need for good professionals. After all, IT is a great way to boost the local knowledge economy. Many IT jobs cannot be offshored and have to performed onsite. The idea I tested would be to have a fiction TV program that features around IT. Very much like with cooking programs (more students in cooking schools), police shows (youngsters wanting to join the police) etc. We agreed it would be a great way to attract young people to our industry. We will see what we can get going.
Best,
Chris
