Many of our projects address critical and strategic issues for our customers who, therefore, choose to not disclose their name”.
Environment
CORDIS, the Community Research and Development Information Service, is an interactive information platform that keeps European citizens and organizations up to date with the latest news, progress and initiatives in European research and development activities. The main objectives of CORDIS consist of facilitating participation in Community research and development activities, improving exploitation of research results with an emphasis on sectors crucial to Europe's competitiveness, and promoting the diffusion of knowledge fostering the technological development of enterprises and the societal acceptance of new technology.
Solution
Trasys has been chosen by OPOCE upon a 5-years contract for the development and provision of services in support of CORDIS. Services cover the full life cycle of software development projects including specification, analysis, design, implementation, integration and maintenance.
This translated into close collaboration with all parties involved in order to ensure that their requirements for new functionality, applications, and tools are fully satisfied. In the same way, a testing approach was realized by an independent team to assure the quality of the software developed before its deployment to the operational environments. Technology, standards, and product are permanently tracked to ensure that the CORDIS architecture, systems, and tools constantly evolve to remain at the cutting edge in terms of information, knowledge management, and publishing technologies. Iin parallel, strict project and quality assurance management are processed based on PRINCE-2 methodology and ISO 9001: 2000 standard while ITIL-based service delivery processes guarantee that support services meet the service levels agreed with the Commission. Finally, sound control of new software releases and system configurations ensure the synchronisation and the proper interoperations of the different CORDIS environments.
