ARE YOU READY?
Ready to face challenging large scale IT projects and keen to launch your ‘career of a lifetime’ in the Capital City of Europe? Are you the IT professional we are looking for? Aim for the stars and start your future at TRASYS!
The European Union Institutions are seeking ambitious colleagues who want to collaborate in long-term projects and, where it is possible, to take real responsibility from the first day.
When working for the EU Institutions you will have the opportunity to continuously develop your skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of your challenging career.
You will be contributing to Europe’s largest IT projects, within a fast-paced international environment, whilst enjoying a healthy work-life balance (40 hours per week).
You will be working in a multilingual environment, where English is mainly used. It is an inspiring and motivating experience.
From the heart of Europe, you will enjoy its enormous culture, its high social welfare, its strong healthcare, international schools and other facilities. It is easy to enjoy or even love Brussels. Brussels is a great place to live. It is lively, relaxed and good for families. It is also diverse, full of expats and multinational and you will find it easy to communicate in English. Brussels has a well-deserved fame for French fries (Belgians invented it!), chocolate, waffles and mussels. If you don’t like them, you still have a splendid choice of other flavours. There are pubs and cafes all over town where you can taste different kinds of beers — blond or dark and always foamy.
You can meet other Trasys’ consultants live during one of the Happy Hours events in the lively Place du Luxembourg where every Thursday evening people working in the European Quarter meet to party. It is true it can rain in Brussels. And rain! But more than three dozen museums and historic churches provide plenty of indoor activities. First Wednesday afternoon of the month, the entrance to a number of major museums in Brussels is for free!
When you are looking for day trips Brussels is less than an hour by train from Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent and Liège.
Not to forget that Brussels is as well the central access point for travelling within Europe: Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Paris and London (some of them by Eurostar) are reachable in a couple of hours.

For both my son and myself, moving to an international city was an opportunity not to miss ! Being able to speak several languages in Europe is so important and allowing my son to have a native French speaking high quality education is a huge step for his future. It will open many doors for him later. Socially, we meet a lot of people with various nationalities and cultures, broadening his view on the world. For myself, it meant a new exciting job within the European Institutions with an attractive salary package and working with well-trained colleagues allowing me to evolve too.
Working for the EU Commission was a goal I wanted to accomplish. As a software engineer, I feel that my work plays an important role, my responsibilities have grown and I have improved my analysis and negotiation skills! Working in a multicultural environment is an excellent experience! It’s a friendly working environment and I got to meet many interesting people. At the same time, I also got a change to better understand how the EU institutions approach projects. Although I did not have specific expectations beforehand, I have been pleasantly surprised of many things! Belgium is a pleasant country to live in. The city of Brussels offers constantly lots of events so life after working hours can be very pleasant. I definitely recommend this experience to my friends.
